5 Miles of beautiful, uncrowded beach with many treasures are waiting for you at Cape Hideaway. In Cape Meares on the 3 Capes Scenic Loop you will find seclusion as you explore this beautiful area of the Oregon Coast. Cape Hideaway is hidden away from the business of life. Come and reflect on a day filled with nature. Cape Hideaway is a home where you can relax and enjoy the ocean views or take a short walk to beach access. This cozy home offers a modern feel.
The space
Cape Hideaway is an original home to the town of Bay Ocean, once famous for it's indoor saltwater natatorium . Cape Hideaway was moved before the Pacific Ocean claimed the town Bay Ocean. Cape Hideaway was remodeled with care . A local craftsman did beautiful woodwork inside and built custom cabinetry. The owner has furnished it with a modern flair that welcomes you to come and enjoy! The Deck offers relaxation and views of the Pacific Ocean.

Other things to note
You will want to stop in Tillamook and gather your groceries and supplies . There are no stores in Cape Meares.

A Minimum $50 Fee will be retained for ALL CANCELLATIONS. PEAK Season Reservations this includes Peak Holidays, are NON REFUNDABLE. All other reservations have a 30+ day’s requirement for Refund minus the Cancellation Fee. Power and phone outages are common in coastal villages, especially during the stormy season, and do not constitute an emergency or basis for refund. We had a great time at the house. A perfect place to relax your mind and soul. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom clean and had everything you needed, and the upstairs living room had a great view on the ocean. We highly recommend this place!

Super location a block or so from the beach on a quiet street. Kitchen stocked well with cookware, appliances, dishes, silverware etc. Salt, pepper, couple other 'spice' containers and a smidge of sugar and cooking oil; no foil, coffee etc. Bring everything else! Nice size upper deck with ocean view from various windows and a nice size, unfenced, yard. Be sure to check out the south side of the house with a small, narrow, private area to catch a few rays!

A great spot if you are looking for a quiet place near the beach--just a couple minute's walk to the nearest access point. The house is wonderfully appointed, but accessible to lots of restaurants and shopping, too, if needed. My family had a great time and we hope to visit again someday!

Great location - quiet, great views of the ocean, easy access to the beach and a clean and spacious place for our four family members. I recommend it highly if you are wanting a place to stay off the beaten path.

Nice simple place to stay in a great hidden gem on the coast! We spent a week here with a seven year old and a toddler and would definitely stay here again. The living spaces are nice, although the sofa has seen much better days. Good well-stocked kitchen. Wonderful view from the deck, and of course the Cape Meares beach itself is amazing and quiet - we never saw more than a dozen people at a time on the entire stretch. Toddler parents, be aware that the railing around the stairs has very wide gaps between the uprights and a toddler could definitely squeeze through.

A big wow! From the moment we climbed the stairs to the second floor we were totally blessed and entranced by the gorgeous view of the Pacific. We could hear the waves crashing from the porch. The house was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable. The half bath was appreciated as well. On the last morning we were at the beach at very low tide. The sea creatures we saw were amazing. We look forward to a return visit!

This home is lovely. We especially enjoyed the privacy, easy access to beautiful beaches, and clean, cozy living spaces. Tillamook was so fun and we enjoyed having it nearby. We went to the creamery for ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed a visit to pelican brewery for both drinks and dinner. We will definitely be back.

Our family had a great stay at Cape Hideaway. We are a family of 4 with two small boys and the space was just right. The house was very clean. The house had plenty of towels and linens and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The location was great with a view of the ocean and a quick walk to the beach. The hosts were communicative and all check-in and check-out instructions were clear. The area was quiet and perfect for relaxing. The local beach was absolutely stunning and we were sad to say goodbye!
